Enchanted tiny tower

A whimsical stay

I spent my 35th at this enchanted tiny tower in The Berkshires, Massachusetts and

visited The Mount, Edith Wharton's home

As you may already know, I turned 35 this past April 22. My wonderful mother-in-law gave me the best gift possible; spend two nights in a fairytale airbnb.

Located on the Santarella property, The Tiny Tower blends in perfectly with the magical place that is The Berkshires.

Santarella's history dates back to 1739, when the town of Tyringham, Massachusetts was established.

In the gardens I walked through a dream. Ponds, flowers and magical architecture that looks like something out of a fantasy book.

In the tower I slept under a blanket of stars. A four-poster bed with a view of the sky, trees, and a pond visible through its huge multi-pane windows.

We arrived at the Santarella Gardens the afternoon before my birthday to a bottle of champagne, local chocolates and a beautiful note from the owner waiting on the table.

After drinking the champagne, we went to the cute little town -Lee- to get some food and went back to the little tower to watch The Hobbit; nothing more appropriate right?

I started my birthday receiving a beautiful vegan cake and messages from my family and friends.

After the emotional start to the day, I made a couple of coffees for Tom and myself, put on my beautiful dress, and sat on the bed reading a book of fairy tales.

After enjoying a relaxed morning, we decided to go to Lee and have lunch at the popular 51 Park Restaurant & Tavern  , have a lavender coffee at Starving Artist Cafe and visitThe Mount, Edith Wharton's home.

The Mount is a country house in Lenox, the home of the noted American author Edith Wharton, who designed the house and its grounds and considered it his "first royal home".

Today, The Mount is a cultural center and a historic house museum, and its gardens and surroundings are wonderful.

We came back to the tower to a perfect sunset to blow out my candles and toast with rosé.
